Nova Dance Competition was founded by artists, educators, choreographers, and producers who believe that competition can be both rigorous and inspiring.

 

Built upon decades of experience in dance education and event production, Nova represents a renewed commitment to what matters most: dancers, teachers, and the art form itself.

 

What distinguishes Nova is the depth of professional experience represented throughout our leadership team, faculty, and adjudicators. Collectively, our team brings experience from Broadway, concert dance, commercial entertainment, higher education, major touring productions, and international performance. Our artists have trained at prestigious institutions including Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School and The Juilliard School and have collaborated with renowned artists and organizations such as Twyla Tharp, Mikhail Baryshnikov’s White Oak Dance Project, Debbie Allen, the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and numerous leading voices throughout the dance industry.

Our events are designed to challenge dancers to perform at their highest level while providing meaningful feedback, thoughtful adjudication, and an atmosphere that supports growth.
